Circuit rides and children to come

Its a boy! How extremely exciting, and I am all the more humbled that God has blessed us with being parents. Our son is expected around the 8th of April, and we couldn't be more tickled about the addition.
Life changes, but the callings and pursuit of an omnipotent God do not. I do not know, nor can I imagine what this blessing will bring to our lives, but I am all the more confident that Lael and I must continue forward with our labor. Everyday is for the glory of God, and we long to be filled with love, and knowledge of Him. That our lives would be fruitful in righteousness and discernment; that we would be blameless and pure on the day of Christ .
I just got back from a 17 day ministry trip called "Jehu's Ride" where the Justice House of Prayer team and I traveled the state of California, preaching, praying, and worshiping everywhere that we could. What an amazing time we had on the trip. We saw break thru in lives, new relations started, old relations strengthened, and saw the Lord exalted. I am stirred with this trip because it reminds me of the circuit rides of John Wesley where he would travel by horse back and preach the gospel from town to town. This was in the days of the Great Awakenings and the revivals of that era. I really feel that the Lord is going to breathe on this, and many more doors will open for us to travel and preach. Lately I had felt so discouraged by the route that the church of America is in route of with her passivity, apathy, soft living, and compromise. But this trip stirred my heart that she, can awaken to Holiness, Righteousness, and posture again to pray and be counted among the faithful. That the cry of the bride would be "Come Lord!"
What's wild and wily is that the church is so immersed in this post modern, humanist, and secularized state that they didn't realize they could be pure, spotless, holy, and righteous! Ha! We need a reformation to the way we think, we need a revival of religion again!
With all hope and longings in Christ,

Fall update

“"How can we expect righteousness to prevail when there is hardly anyone willing to give himself up individually to a righteous cause. Such a fine, sunny day, and I have to go, but what does my death matter, if through us thousands of [youths] are awakened and stirred to action?” – Sophie Scholl

First off Greetings, from the Justice House of Prayer in San Diego,
Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ

So Lael and I are happy to announce that we are pregnant. Lael has just started her 2nd trimester. We will find out in a few weeks what we are having.

This is truly exciting times that we are living in, and I can feel the presence of the Holy Ghost drawing me to root down deeper and deeper. The need for more hours spent in prayer and meditation daily. The longings of my heart to gaze and worship in the beauty of Holiness are intensifying.

I just got back a few weeks ago from UC Berkeley with the Justice House of Prayer San Diego; there we cried out for revival, repented of the sins of the Berkeley rebellion in the 60s. We worshiped and were threatened with being arrested. Our team stood ground, and continued, what could the enemy do? The cost had been counted, and our minds were fixed that He was worthy to receive our worship, right there at that place, in that moment.

October 23rd and the 24th we has a conference, the first since the one we had since March. The conference was called “God Cares” and it dealt with the heart of God towards abortion. What a success it was; we had several ministries come and round table with us plus Radiant Worship band came out from Kansas City. There was a great time of ministry alongside with Eddie Brown, and Matt Locket preaching.

At the end of the month, I will be traveling with the team for 2 weeks, preaching up and down the state of California an unfiltered gospel. We are in a dilemma; we have churches everywhere, but where is the power? Where is the conviction? Where is the Holiness? Media, commercialism, programs, luxuries, lights, pop worship with no fear of the Lord fill the house of God. I have become convinced that what the church needs, is not for church leaders to plan another program, but for the church leaders to weep between the porch and altar. Please keep us in prayer as we make our journey. The Justice House of Prayer team and I will be going in faith and as a testimony that God will provide shelter, food, and gas for the trip.

Lael and I had some prayers answered this month as God provided a car for us, with 3 months of paid insurance, DMV fees, new tires, and a timing belt. PRAISE THE LORD! My family and I thank you for your continued support of prayers and finances as we labor for the Lord in San Diego. Some specifics of upcoming needs are:

  • Continued prayer for strength, guidance, and boldness as we preach.
  • Another community house that Lael and I will be overseeing
  • Finances for continuing the ministry
  • Silk screen kit to start making shirts that speak a message to help aid the movement

Lael and I covet your prayers, and thank God for you and your love for us and for the ministry that we have been called to. God bless you and make His face shine on you.

the Month of November is Jehu's Ride

November 1st will be the one year Anniversary of the Call coming to San Diego, California. The missionary team at JHOPSD, on the 1st of November, will be launching a preliminary "Jehu's ride;" which will be a 14 day trek up and down the state of California. Leading worship, preaching and praying every day, from morning to evening.
According to the scriptures in 2 Kings 9, Jehu is anointed as king over Israel, and overthrows Jezebel. Until that time, Israel had been under mass oppression of the whoredoms and witchcrafts through Jezebel. Once He is anointed to be king, he rides with a fury, and a zeal of the Lord to end the oppression.
The mission statement of Jehu's ride will be to preach an unfiltered, uninhibited, non humanistic- gospel on the platform of a church gathering, shopping mall, open field, public school, etc... Our desire is to speak boldly in this hour of urgency that California is in; To call the church to the place of prayer , to trade prosperity for posterity, and ultimately back to the cross. Other topics will include:

Political
Kingdom allegiance
Covenental Community
The stream of Justice and Righteousness

I would like to see if you, or anyone you know would be interested in providing a platform, or a host home.
We are ever hopeful of revival and reformation, to see the His Kingdom come, His will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.

Summer Update

First off, I apologize, and ask for patience while Lael and I are updating our support letters. Much has happened in the past few months since you’ve received our last letter and Lael and I are very excited to see what is just around the corner.

The months leading into spring and summer were spent street preaching at San Diego’s top colleges, UCSD and SDSU along side on campus student ministries. The street ministry is aided with the worship of college students, as the message of the cross is preached to their fellow classmates.

We have a bi weekly prayer meeting that lasts for 3 hours, and some times even up to 4 hours. At these meetings we worship and cry out to the Lord for His return, the change of political events, repentance and the salvation of souls. Our prayer meetings are based around Luke 18 and the widow who cried out day and night for justice. In this parable, Jesus explains that He will avenge His elect who cry out night and day, He ends the parable by asking, “When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” We pray that His Bride will be counted worthy of such an honor.
Tuesdays is our community fast day, in which our ministry staff and family fast from food and juice for a 36 hour period. The fast is to focus on the longing for Christ to come back, and for His kingdom to be established in justice and righteousness. This weekly fast is considered a bridegroom fast in accordance to Mark 2:18, where Jesus refers to Himself as The Bridegroom. He says that when He is gone that the friends of the bridegroom (His Church) are to fast until the day of His return. On Fridays we hold silent prayer meetings outside of abortion clinics, in which we pray for 2 hours, and as we pray in silence we are identifying with the silent cries of the unborn and of those who have no voice. Just as it reads in Proverbs 31:8-9:

8Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
9 Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy.

Our stand is not a protest, but a silent prayer meeting. We make our appeal to the Judge of the earth and ask Him for speedy justice to be released, and at the end of the prayer meeting, we take communion and pray a simple prayer of:

"Jesus, I plead your blood over my sins, and the sins of my nation,
God end abortion and send revival to America"

Praying at the clinics is an intense time as we have been able to minister to hurting men and women, and help them make conscience, Godly wisdom about life. For more information about this please visit: www.bound4lifesd.com

As most of you know, Lael and I have chosen to live in community lifestyle with others at JHOP. One important aspect of our community living is growing most of our food. This has been a wonderful time of planting, gardening and harvesting. The garden has been an excellent place for me to work and meditate on the word of God as I look around me I am able to stop and smell the rosemary, lavender and mint bushes, and really experience nature as God intended it. Most of what we eat as a community is a result of what we grow, and to feed a company of nine takes a lot of work! We have been extremely blessed with seeing most all of our garden come to harvest, including: over 10 kinds of tomatoes, 5 different squashes, 2 kinds of melons, lots of green bean stocks, 2 different onions, pumpkins, red, yellow, orange and red bell peppers, strawberries and many more take up less than half an acre of land!

For the coming fall and winter months we will continue most of the planned activities above, including our daily duties of prayer and the studying of the scriptures. On July 5th, we consecrated ourselves to a 40 day period of fasting, and to seek the Lord on what He would have us focus on for the remaining 5 months of 2009. Already planned for the month of October is the National Student Walkout to Prayer. This is a student led response to the religion of secular humanism being taught in the classrooms of America. In April we launched a preliminary walkout, and now we have locked arms with other ministries across the country who desire to pray and ask God to bring a spiritual awakening to the campuses. On this day, we are gathering to pray—for the schools, our friends, our teachers, our government, and the nation. For more information on this event go to www.Studentwalkout.com

Please pray for us that we continue to be faithful witness for the Lord.

If you believe in what Lael and I are doing, please don’t hesitate to support us with your prayers, and finances.

We love you all!!!

Holiness is not Legalism

I looked for the Church, and I found it in the World, I looked for the World, and I found it in the Church.

I have been stirred lately in zeal for righteousness and holiness. The more I gaze on the master Jesus, the more I realize the less of righteousness and holiness I actually posses. So this has stirred me as I said, to have zeal. I am in a pursuit of daily, even up to 4 times a day to crying out in prayer for a deep filling of the Holy Ghost, to work greater sanctification. Oh beloved, I love these moments of the day. To be more and more like Jesus. I hope this will inspire you to weep, and cry out to the LORD of Heaven and Earth, who can make you clean. Who can make you Holy, as He is Holy.

{controversial faith}

You cannot love God if you do not have a fear of The Lord.

Those who do not know God, can not know the secrets of Heaven & Earth. It is only God who gives wisdom, worldly wisdom is false deception & a manipulation of the truth.
Even if we were to tell the world the mysteries of God (1 Tim. 3:16), they could not believe it unless it is the Spirit that reveals it to them.(Matt 16:15-17, John 17:1-26)

{Psalm 25:14}

The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, & He will show them his covenant.

{1 Corinthians 2:6-15}
However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written:

“ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.

{Luke 23:34}
Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”

{Colossians 1:25-27}
...to fulfill the Word of God, the mystery which has been hidden from ages from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles: which is Christ in you, the HOPE of glory.

{Ephesians 1:9}
Having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure purposes to Himself.

What is the Mystery?

{1 Timothy 3:16}
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.

{Matthew 11:25}
At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.

{Matthew 16:23}
But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

These are only just a very small amount of Scripture that talks about the Mysteries of God. I haven't even touched on the fear of The Lord. I mainly wanted to bring to the table that if you do not know the Lord, you can not know Him. Sounds repetitive I know, but now that you've read it, repeat it out loud. Now then, just think about it, the world claims all these horrible attributes of God, why? They don't know God. Well that's because of the fine example us as His Bride- the Church has made. Therefore we don't really know Him. Scary thing to claim, but I can confidently say that I truly don't know God. More than anything, this grieves my heart. But I know it's a passage from glory to glory, I do what I don't want to do & I don't do what I want to do, even though I so desperately desire to follow the voice of my Shepard! Thanks to Jesus, though we are all reconciled to God forever as Romans 5 says! This is a journey folks, & it's only by God's amazing grace that we are able to make it another minute.
So now with all that said, let's pray & diligently seek after His face while we still have time!(Isaiah 55:6)

We are getting ready to launch the Youth Culture overthrow in a few weeks, which needless to say, I for one, and the team are way pumped about. The goal is to overthrow a culture movement that has brainwashed the youth of America. Young people are looking to live for something, but are dying in their attempt to find it. It ought not be this way! I am telling you the truth, that this generation could lead christian adults out of spiritual apathy by sprining them to spiritual jealousy, and repentance. Let the youth lead, and tear down every idol, and wicked thing. Can you not hear the army coming with "holy" written upon their heads, purity on their heart?! they will be crying out for those who have no voice, and living out the kingdom of God in such a way that would shake the government in fear. This is so exciting, and has been stirring in our hearts to see the Lord cultivate young men and women in the place of prayer, intimacey, and zeal. Out of this place, will come a message which is the gospel of a kingdom that is now and coming. I would also like to bring to your attention is the need that we are still raising funds for: fixing the bus (which is for the transportation of the youth), gas for the bus, food and clothing for the homeless outreach, and of course our daily expenses as missionaries in the area. I understand finances are tight for most, but would like to say that if what we are doing pulls on your heart, and all you have to give is a dollar a month, then give a dollar a month. If everyone we affected gave a dollar a month, we could easily continue to fuel this Revoltion of the culture at least until our dollar system is over with. Why horde finances like heathens do? Lets trust God together to meet the needs of this cause, and for Him to supply our daily bread, and clothing.
